After ten years of leading us, first as our Legal Director and then as our Executive Director, Marissa Bluestine will be leaving the Pennsylvania Innocence Project at the end of this month.
Marissa’s accomplishments at the Pennsylvania Innocence Project have been enormous. During her leadership, we have accomplished the reversal of 14 wrongful convictions, helped to pass critical legislation to improve access to courts for the convicted innocent, trained dozens and dozens of law students, helped law enforcement adapt their methods to avoid the tragedies of wrongful incarceration, and so much more.
The Pennsylvania Innocence Project has commenced a national search for a new Executive Director. We have engaged the national search and consulting firm On-Ramps to assist us.
We are grateful to Marissa for all she has done to take this organization to where we are, and we look forward to building on that foundation as we enter our second decade.
