Community Members

While much of the work of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project involves litigation, we have many volunteers who are not lawyers.  Community volunteers can help with the screening and evaluation of cases at the intake level; reviewing letters sent by inmates seeking the help of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project.  For those who want to help with the screening and evaluating of cases you need to attend one of our periodic training sessions.  We will be having these trainings at least every 3 months throughout the year.  If you contact the office, we will notify you when the next training session is.

In addition, the Pennsylvania Innocence Project relies upon volunteer help in a number of other ways: through the Committees (Development, Policy and Legislation, Communications, CLE/Training), in the office assisting with administrative tasks, helping to put together in public educational events, keeping up with the developing news in this area of the law, and FUNDRAISING!  If you have a particular skill or interest, we can find something for you to do!
