Submit an Amicus Brief Request
An amicus brief is a written legal argument filed by someone not directly involved in a case on appeal to help educate the court about particular issues of that case. Our Project decides when to file amicus briefs based upon various factors including which jurisdiction the case is in, what the particular issues are, and what kind of impact the brief may have.
Amicus briefs can be requested by lawyers or organizations. Writing an amicus brief is not providing or requesting representation for a convicted individual. You can find details about requesting representation at the SUBMIT A CASE FOR REVIEW page.
