Ways to Support the Innocent
The Pennsylvania Innocence Project works to change the current Criminal Justice System to prevent conviction of the innocent. VOLUNTEER WORK, intern research, phone calls to local government, social media support, media outreach and donations all drive the change we want to make at the Project. Your support makes a tremendous impact on increasing awareness about the issues associated with wrongful convictions.
The Project accepts donations in many different forms to help fund the research, legal assistance, and transitional services we provide for the innocent. To the right of this page, you will see the option for a quick and easy one time donation.
For a full range of donation options, including checks, United Way, Amazon Smile, donor advised funds, stocks, and gift matching, click on our DONATIONS tab. The drop-down will give you more information on each. We are so grateful for what our supporters give. Thank you!
We offer volunteer positions, SUMMER INTERNSHIPS, or EXTERNSHIPS. We also support experimental learning programs and undergraduate work studies if a student’s institution allows. The Project welcomes OUTSIDE LAWYERS & LAW FIRMS PRO BONO who offer their legal assistance.
If you’re busy with school, work, or both, live far from Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Harrisburg, or a stay at home dad and simply don’t have time to spare, there are still plenty of things you can do to ADVOCATE FOR THE PROJECT. Many of which you can do directly from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer!
